It is not like standard hitch locks or coupler locks. It has two key features that make it particular unique and highly specialized for 5th wheel security: an extra-long pin and a zero-clearance body shape. The hitch pin used by the CURT 5th wheel hitch lock features a 1/2 in. diameter to fit all industry-standard 5th wheel base rails. However, unlike common hitch locks, this 1/2 in. pin has an extended length, allowing it to easily pass through a 5th wheel rail and leg anchor, locking the hitch into the truck bed.
